Research in Mathematical Education II
Objectives
This course aims to develop knowledge, skills and competencies that allow:
- Know the main characteristics of data collection tools commonly used in qualitative research.
- Understand which instruments are best suited for each of the different research methodologies in Mathematics Education
- Be able to identify appropriate methodological and data collection options, when confronted with a potential study in the area of Mathematics Education
- Know the main techniques of qualitative data analysis
- Be able to conceptualize and implement a qualitative research in Mathematics Education

Teaching method
The teaching will be based on reading and discussion of texts focused on research methodologies in Mathematics Education, as well as the analysis of some research studies in the area, with the intention of develop the capacity to conceptualize the project of a research in the area of Mathematical Education.n and discussion of the works carried out by the pupils.

An investigation in Mathematics Education based on the classroom experience of the pedagogical internship.
