Programming for Data Science

Objectives

The Programming for Data Science curricular unit aims to enable students to gather skills in manipulating data and extracting information from structured and unstructured data.

This course will cover different topics and challenges commonly associated with working with data for Data Science projects, and present the key methodological aspects of programming for data science and the most important tools to be used, including techniques applied to structured and unstructured data manipulation and wrangling, as also static and interactive data visualization.

By the end of the course, students will be capable to develop problem-solving skills by using several Python libraries to carry out a set of tasks needed to solve distinct problems in a Data Science project.
