Monetary and Financial Statistics
Objectives
Central bank statistics are an integral and growing part of official statistics. Monetary and Financial Statistics are one of the core statistics produced and published by the European System of Central Banks, covering the activity of financial institutions and markets. The course aims to present the key concepts, methodologies, and analytical potential of Monetary and Financial Statistics. The processes for the compilation of these statistics within the euro area are thoroughly explained and complemented with an analysis of the main indicators produced. Training using practical cases of some of the compilation procedures will complement the theoretical approach.
