Informatics and Information Law
Objectives
- To know basic principles of Law;
- To identify the main organs of the State and understand their competences/functioning;
- To identify the different forms of legal protection within the scope of information systems;
- To identify the criminal coducts in this context (cybercrime) and respective consequences;
- To identify the main legal issues that arise from the subjects presented and to recognize the importance of regulation;
- To dominate the applicable legal regimes and relate the contents taught.

Teaching method
The curricular unit is primarily based on theoretical and practical classes, aiming a permanent interaction with and among students in order to do a practical approach of the issues under study. Part of the sessions will be dedicated to the resolution and discussion of exercises.
