Education objectives
1. The undergraduate program
in Economics is based on a selection of
core courses that contribute to solid training in Economics, Management, and
Quantitative Methods.
2. Students also receive a
general education in other related areas such as Social Sciences and
Programming.
4. A mix of technical and
scientific skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, data handling, and
programming.
6. They will broaden their
horizons, having the opportunity to apply their previous knowledge while
developing important soft skills.

Degree pre-requisites
The Undergraduate Degrees in Economics and Management are structured in semesters and trimesters. Each course corresponds
to a number of ECTS (European Credit
Transfer System). When the course is successfully approved, the student is assigned the corresponding number of ECTS.
To graduate in Economics, students
should enroll in at least six semesters and respect the following rules:
a) Acquire a minimum
of 180 ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) credits and a maximum of 195 ECTS maximum;
b) Approved and/or being waived in all Mandatory courses.
c) Satisfy the Internationalization Requirement.
d) Complete a
minimum of 45.5 ECTS from elective courses, including 28 ECTS from the area of Economics.

Conditions of admittance
50% Mathematics A exam or equivalent + 50% High School Average GPA

Re-entry Competition, Over 23 Competition, Degree holders Competition,
International Students
The assessment tests for the frequency of higher education by those over 23
years of age aim to provide access to higher education for those who show
competences to attend a 1st cycle course.
If you have completed 23 years until 31 December of the year preceding the
tests and do not have access to the 1st cycle degree, you can enroll at the Nova SBE, to take the test and obtain that qualification.
This competition may apply for those who have approved the test to assess their capacity for higher education.
