Bachelor's in Management

Education objectives

1. The undergraduate program in Management is based on a selection of core courses that contribute to solid training in Management (Finance, Operations, Strategy, Organizational Behaviour, Marketing) and Quantitative Methods.

2. Students also receive a general education in other related areas such as Entrepreneurship, Programming, and Law.

3. Key soft skills like communication, leadership, self-awareness, creativity, adaptability, resilience, collaboration, and global mindset.

4. A mix of technical and scientific skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, data handling, and programming.

5. Students are exposed to new contexts and experiences through the new “Careers with Impact” course, being challenged to play an active role toward a more equitable, sustainable, and inclusive world.

6. They will broaden their horizons, having the opportunity to apply their previous knowledge while developing important soft skills.

Degree pre-requisites

The Undergraduate Degrees in Economics and Management are structured in semesters and trimesters. Each course corresponds to a number of ECTS (European Credit Transfer System). When the course is successfully approved, the student is assigned the corresponding number of ECTS.

To graduate in Management, students should enroll in at least six semesters and respect the following rules:

a)      Acquire a minimum of 180  ECTS  (European Credit Transfer System)  and  a  maximum of 195 ECTS;

b) Approved and/or being waived in all Mandatory courses,

c) Approving in Multivariate Statistics or Econometrics;

d) Satisfy the Internationalization Requirement;

e) Complete a minimum of 24.5 ECTS  from elective courses, including 7 ECTS from the area of Management.

Conditions of admittance

50% Mathematics A exam or equivalent + 50% High School Average GPA

Special Applications: Over 23, Holders of Higher education, Change of pair / Institution, Re-entry Competition, Degree holders Competition, International Students

The assessment tests for the frequency of higher education attendance by people over 23 years of age aim to provide access to higher education to those who show competences to attend 1st cycle degree.

If you have completed 23 years until December 31 of the year preceding the tests and do not have access to a certain course of 1st cycle, you can enrol at the Nova SBE, to take the test and obtain that qualification.

This application may apply to those who have approved the test to assess their capacity for higher  education.
