International Tourism Policy
Objectives
Tourism is one of the most dynamic activities in the world economy and one of the most relevant instruments to provide sustainable and inclusive growth. The Covid-19 pandemic has had an unprecedented impact on the tourism industry, which is now starting its recovery process, while accelerating a set of challenges facing the industry - digital transformation, sustainability and profile changes of consumers. This course will discuss the role of tourism policies to address the main challenges facing the tourism industry, as well as the best practices that can be used in this field.

Teaching method
The course covers the main topics outlined above, through the combination of learning techniques, taking into consideration different learning styles. Lectures are used to provide a solid theoretical background and will include the participation of experts from international organizations. Case studies are used to bring the theoretical concepts to life and enhance comprehension through discussion. Finally, direct application of the theory is enabled through the development of a group work project.
