Master's in Finance and Financial Markets - Executive
Education objectives
This is a program aimed at professionals with higher education who want to understand or deepen the main concepts, techniques and instruments of finance and financial markets in a perspective that combines a solid theoretical training - which is Nova SBE’s hallmark - with an applied approach based on the best international practices and which led Nova’s Master in Finance to the 14th position in the world in the Financial Times ranking.
The Executive Master’s in Finance and Financial Markets is aimed at experienced professionals with a degree in an area of solid quantitative training (such as Economics, Management, Engineering, Science, etc.) seeking to develop professional skills in the financial area.
- Theoretical
training in the fundamentals of corporate finance, investments and portfolio
and financial risk management Taught by the permanent faculty of the Master’s
in Finance at Nova SBE.
- Applied
training in the main areas of Financial Management and Financial Markets taught
by the experienced professionals who teach in the various master’s and
executive education programs at Nova SBE.
- A set of
applied natured disciplines based on real case-studies.
- A
hands-on approach, where the assessment of knowledge seeks to function as a
learning tool.
- A
professional, rigorous and demanding academic environment, as is the hallmark
of Nova SBE.
- Exposure,
in class and in seminars, to a group of professionals from the most varied
areas of Finance and Financial Markets and to a group of students with high
potential and diversity of experiences and basic training.

Degree pre-requisites
Completion of 60 ECTS distributed as follows: 30 ECTS in curricular units + 30 ECTS in thesis (Workproject)
For the Master graduation,
it’s necessary to fulfill the academic requirements and the number of ECTS
indicated, as per the course offered in the academic year. Courses on offer are
subject to change.

Conditions of admittance
Holders of a bachelor’s
degree or equivalent, or holder of a foreign higher academic degree following a
1st cycle of studies according to the Bologna process, or holder of an
equivalent academic degree acquired abroad that is recognized by Nova SBE.
Hold an academic degree
in scientific areas such as Management, Technologies, Finance or others that
require some knowledge of mathematics.
Have at least 5 years of experience in functions relevant to their academic area, preferably as executives and or managers who intend to improve or update their skills in the areas of Leadership.
