Teaching method

The teaching methods consist of: 1. Theoretical classes. 2. Theoretical-practical classes.3. Practical classes ¿ preparation of a health promotion project and 4. Written critical thinking essay about the health planning process. Theoretical classes consist of presentations of the syllabus, using presentations prepared by the teacher, floowed by debates. In the theoretical-practical classes, the teacher makes a brief theoretical introduction, followed by simulation exercises carried out in small groups, with a final synthesis of conclusions of the session. The practical classes will be developed in working groups in order to design a health promotion project, which will be presented and discussed in the last two class sessions. The Evaluation of the Curricular Unit is based on 2 elements: the elaboration and presentation of a project, in a Power Point format, carried out in working groups (50%), and a critical thinking essay about the health planning process (maximum 5 A4 pages) (50%).
