Education objectives

The Master's in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, and Health Research (EPIBIS) is a partnership between the NOVA National School of Public Health (NOVA NSPH) and the NOVA Medical School, aimed at equipping participants with knowledge and methodologies in epidemiological research to enable them to autonomously develop and conduct epidemiological research projects.

The Master's in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, and Health Research has a maximum number of 25 participants.

Fees

Application fee: 51,00 EUR (non-refundable)

Tuition fee for Portuguese citizens: 3.950,00 EUR (3.000,00 EUR in the first year and 950,00 EUR in the second)

Tuition fee for students with International Student status: 6.000,00 EUR (4.500,00 EUR in the first year and 1.500,00 EUR in the second)

The Master's in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, and Health Research has a duration of 4 semesters, unfolding in two stages: a curricular phase (postgraduate course) lasting 2 semesters and the preparation and elaboration of an original Project, specifically conducted for this purpose, taking place during the 3rd and 4th semesters.

Evaluation rules

The grading in each of the course units included in the curriculum is expressed on a whole numerical scale from 0 to 20 points, with approval requiring a minimum final grade of 10 points resulting from the evaluation elements established in each course unit.

The attendance of curricular units may imply prerequisites if so stated in their respective course unit records.
