Pathology 2

Objectives

The general objectives of this course are:
1 - To know and to understand the basic principles of disease (causes, mechanisms,
lesion processes);
2 - To acquire skills of observation and deduction in order to be able to identify and
interpret the morphological changes, (tissue, cellular and molecular events)
responsible for the different types of disease;

Teaching method

The theoretical contents integrate Lessons (asynchronous) for discussion of main
processes of disease. Attendance is voluntary.
Practical classes focus on the application of knowledge of biopathology applied to
clinical practice and the discussion of clinical-pathological cases to demonstrate
pathological processes; using activities: tutorial histopathological observation;
presentation of seminars; application exercises of clinical-pathological correlation.

Evaluation method

Attendance record and the student's progress is continuously
evaluated throughout the semester.
