Objectives

1. Develop competence in the medical interview and physical exam, and to provide culturally competent health care
2. Apply recommended prevention strategies to women throughout the lifespan. 3. To understand and demonstrate appropriate knowledge in antenatal low-risk pregnancy care with recognition of high-risk pregnancy and appropriate referra]. 4. Establish a plan research, formulate diagnostic hypotheses and treat current situations in obstetrics.
5. Demonstrate appropriate knowledge of intrapartum and postpartum care.
6. Describe most frequent gynecologic and breast conditions and outline an evaluation ofcommon complaints.
7. Describe gynecological malignancies including risk factors, signs and symptoms.
8. Recognize obstetric and gynecologic emergencies.
9. Describe the etiology and evaluation of infertility.
10. Demonstrate appropriate knowledge, skills, and attitudes in relation to fertility control.
11. Autonomously perform basic obstetric and gynecological procedures.

Teaching method

- Two weeks of asynchronous (lectures) and synchronous (workshops, Clinica/ case discussions, TBL sessions and seminars) e-learning classes, and 3 weeks of face-to-face classes (hospital clerkship and simulation classes).
- Lectures: Will be available (audio PowerPoint format), on MOODLE NMS platform.
- Workshops, Clinica/ case sessions, TBL classes and Seminars Will be offered in Zoom Colibri@ platform; they all have assiduity control.
- Hospital clerkship: The expected teacher/student ratio in this CU is 7/2.
- Simulation classes: training of basic procedures in obstetrics and gynecology with the support ofanatomical models.

Evaluation method

60% of final classification is obtained in a multiple-choice test to be answered in QuizOne platform. Approval in practical evaluation is necessary for admittance to this test and contributes to 40% of the classification. A minimum of 9.50 points in each component (practical and theoretical) is mandatory.
