Objectives

1. To know the different theoretical and methodological perspectives in Terminology;
2. To distinguish between the two levels of analysis in Terminology: the language level and conceptual level, the ontological level and the lexical level
2.1. To understand the onomasiological and semasiological methodologies : the consequences of these for research in Terminology
2.2. To understand the value of the text for work in terminology
3. To understand the behavior of terminological units and terminology collocation in order to analyze them
4. To know the role of terminology in international institutions
5. To be able to analyze and organize a terminology

Teaching method

Lectures and practices, based on exposure of the syllabus and seminar presentation and discussion of selected texts in each module. In addition to classes, reading the literature of the program, each student will develop a theoretical essay, with accompanying tutorial, which he should give substance to a chosen reflection between the formulations presented and fosters an interdisciplinary view on the phenomenon in question. 

Evaluation method

Continuous assessment - The evaluation of the student shall be the sum of the monitoring activities of asset classes and discussion of the texts presented (30%) and the final report resulting from a unique reflection of its developed and discussed with the teachers (70%).(100%)
