Contemporary Poetics
Objectives
- To define and to discuss the concept of contemporary literature.
- To study some Portuguese contemporary poetics in their dialogs between the classic and the contemporary: from Cesário Verde to Fernando Pessoa, Sophia, O'Neill, Herberto and other contemporary poets.
- From the analysis of these classic and contemporary texts, to develop the critical capabilities required for students to reflect on and to research the contemporary, not only as an historical category, but also as an aesthetic one.
