Objectives

Analyze the fundamental theoretical concepts related to Sustainable Development and Sustainable Heritage.
Reflect on economic, social, environmental and cultural impacts Analyze forms of sustainability management.
Criticize methodological and problematic processes inherent to Sustainable Heritage.
Know some manifestations of Sustainable Heritage at national and international level.
Study and understand the relationship between sustainability, memory, history and heritage.

Teaching method

60% of theoretical classes and 40% of practical classes. The practical classes consist of problematizing theoretical information, case studies, analyzing legal diplomas and some sustainable heritage manifestations.

Evaluation method

Continuous assessment.


Oral interventions / debate on theoretical and practical issues - 15%.


Elaboration of three small individual written reflections on topics covered in class - 45%.


Group written work on one theme of the program - 40%.

- The role of communities. Cooperation and solidarity

II. Bottom-up and Top down methodologies. Stakeholder involvement and strategic alignment. Record and evaluate the evidence.


- Definition of indicators, typologies and their breakdown. Monitoring. The problem of data fragmentation.


- Communication and advocacy


III. The multidimensional impact of the sustainability of cultural heritage
