Teaching method
Classes include theoretical lectures, viewing/listening to and commenting on children's productions and videos about experiences with babies, discussion and analysis of data from children's productions.
Materials to support the classes are made available on the Moodle platform.
Evaluation method
- short assignment analysing phonological and morphosyntactic aspects of children's productions OR outline of a study on language perception/comprehension with babies or children - 30%
- short essay on a theoretical topic from the syllabus - 30%
- written test - 30%
- autonomous work (including readings and active and positive participation in class) - 10%

2. Theoretical models of language acquisition: behaviourist, cognitivist, nativist and emergentist models
3. Methodologies for studying language acquisition: naturalistic methods and experimental methods
4. Aspects of language development at different stages (from birth to the first years of school)
