Teaching method

This is a research curricular unit that articulates theoretical and advanced practice components, with extramural fieldwork. In the first two blocks a brief period of fieldwork is prepared and carried out, to collect information to answer the research question, theoretically framed, proposed in the meantime, and to test the hypothesis previously presented. In the last two blocks, data processing is carried out, including the transcription of interviews and other records made, and the writing of two types of texts, respectively a data organization report (text 1) and a short ethnographic written text (text 2). Given the open and eminently personal nature of the unit, readings may be added and work may be developed around different techniques and field situations.

Evaluation method

Continuous assessment - Action work and ethnographic writing in accordance with a negotiable proportion at the beginning of the classes(100%)
