Ocean Geography

Objectives

a) To recognize the importance of the World Ocean for the functioning of the Earth system and the country;
b) To know how the ocean works and its interaction with the atmosphere and continents
c) To know the main ocean resources, its importance and main forms of exploitation;
d) Acknowledge the main problems the ocean faces;
e) To recognize the importance of the ocean to Portugal.

3.3 Farming plants and animals.
4) Non Biological resources
4.1 Salt and desalinated water;

4.3 Energy resources.
5) The importance of the ocean
5.1 Biological, economic, strategic and security values;
5.2 The United Nations Conference on the Law of the Sea (CDUDM);
