Themes in Anthropology
Objectives
In this CU we will address two thematic lines of research: 1) social differentiation and 2) cities and culture.
For each thematic group students will have classes on the main theoretical lines and case study presentations.
The topics of the lectures were chosen in accordance with the projects of the PhD students.

Teaching method
M1 - The CU is divided into 2 modules with 6 sessions each
M2 - Each module is taught by a diferente lecturer/researcher;
M3 - For each lecturer there wiil be a mandatory text to be discussed in class
M4 - Students choose one of the modules related to their research project to the final essay
Evaluation method
Método de avaliação - Essay designed on one of the thematic modules, preferably the one that most relates to the student´s thesis theme(60%), Participation in class discussions - 20% x 2 modules(40%)
