Objectives

1. To learn basic concepts in plant biotechnology;

2. To become aware of the objectives and impacts of plant biotechnology in agriculture and forestry;

3. To get an updated overview of the major plant biotechnology procedures and techniques;

4. To be able to discuss the importance of plant biotechnology for ensuring sustainability in agriculture and forestry;

5. To develop skills and competences to allow the students identifying the most relevant strategies/tools of plant biotechnology to address current challenges;

6. To promote critical thinking abilities concerning the applications of plant biotechnology in agriculture and forestry, and their impacts in the society.
