Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program

Objectives

This course provides the students with a first contact with the practice of scientific research.

Its main goal is to give the students a chance to apply the knowledge they acquired throughout their studies to solving concrete research problems, and this way learn by doing.

It comprises the solution of a research problem, and write-up of a report describing the problem, the approach, and the results of the work.

The concrete research problem to be addressed will be defined by the supervisor''s proposal.

The solution of concrete research problems under the guidance of the proposal''s supervisor will enable students to get some exposure to research topics and learn the basics of research methods.
