Smart Grids / Power Systems

Objectives

at the end of the course, it is expected that students acquire knowledge and competences that allow them to:

- understand the working principle of power systems, focusing on power flow ans short circuit analysis

- identify and understand the role of the different actors in the electric power value chain

- know and critically analyse the ongoing energy transition, its inherent challenges as well as understand the concept of flexibility and its sources and aplications in power systems.
