Teaching method

Classes will have an initial expository part where concepts will be provided and explored: Sustainability and Preservation, eg, in order to provide the necessary bases for the student for the second part of the course, whose main teaching methodology is the analysis and discussion of case studies related to the tangible and intangible heritage and the role of creating new heritage in social well-being.

Case studies will be provided to the student, who will also be encouraged to seek and propose cases for analysis and discussion.

Evaluation method

The assessment will be carried out through 1 written report (max. 4000 words) of analysis and discussion of case studies and will be carried out in groups (referring to tangible heritage, intangible heritage, or the creation of new heritage and its role in social well-being ).

The final oral presentation of the report will be individual and followed by its discussion.

Classes 3, 5, 6 and 8, as well as the report, will be subject to self and hetero-assessment.

In the case of students with working-student status, participation, as well as attendance and punctuality, will be replaced by alternative assessment pieces.

The report will be delivered and presented on December 11th with a schedule to be defined. The report must be sent in PDF to jlaf@fct.unl.pt and icoutinho@fct.unl.pt by the start time of the presentations.
