History, Philosophy and Heritage of Science and Tecnology
Education objectives
The objectives of the PhD Programme in History, Philosophy and Heritage of Science and Technology are:

To foster a culture of science and technology, that aims to understand the historical importance and influence of science and technology in European society;

To understand and contextualize the development of technological innovation in Portuguese society;
-
To identify and contextualize the history of scientific and technological Portuguese heritage;
-
To evaluate and disseminate knowledge that will ensure the conservation, of the scientific and technological heritage.
Students will join the Interuniversitary Centre for History and Philosophy of Science and Technology (CIUHCT), a recognized research unit at the national and international levels.
