Teaching method



  • Lectures: lectures on the course material by the lecturer; students may pose queries and raise problems.




  • Tutorial: solution of practical cases specifically conceived to promote discussion of various aspects of the course material.




  • Seminar: analysis and consideration of Portuguese case law regarding the topics taught.




  • Supervised research. Students' research skills will also be encouraged via a project, the production of written commentaries on judgments of the Portuguese courts regarding the topics taught. This work will be supervised by the lecturer.




Evaluation method

Written examination (mandatory, 3 hours) And Classification of the original (non-mandatory)  research paper (50%, 50%, or the classification of the written examination if higher).
