Fundamental Rights

Objectives

The main purpose of this subjet is the understanding about the relevance of fundamental rights in Contemporary State with Rule of Law, protecting human dignity and minorities, either in a theoretical perspective, or in relation to Portuguese Constitutional Law.    



Thus, the student will be able to have the knowledge of portuguese system of fundamental rights, either in a general approach, or in a the view of a particular fundamental right, that is freedom of religion, hardly studied at Faculties of Law in Portugal, but already taught at NOVA School of Law some years ago with a sucess.
