Hot Topics in Exemplary Research

Objectives

1. Demonstrate how to develop a contribution that is excellent in terms of originality, significance and rigour

2. Develop research susceptible of being published in world leading journals

3. Integrate a wide range of research inputs to do exemplary research and write a scientific article for a top journal

4. Collaborate effectively in research teams

5. Identify the main theories and models present in a given literature

6. Present and discuss findings in light of the existing knowledge

7. Get acquainted and integrate different hot-topics in management into prevailing research questions

8. Understand the importance of balancing a strong familiarity with the recent literature

9. Understand how to develop a novel and interesting research problem

10. Learn how to provide reviewers and readers an excellent report of fieldwork, data collection and data analysis procedures

11. Critically analyse and constructively discuss

Teaching method

Teaching methods will incorporate a mix of: 

• TA) theoretical exposition: state of the art

• TB) class discussion: of a paper of the teacher's authorship, good vs bad publication examples.

• TC) examples of replies to referee reports.

• TD) learning from guest speakers authors avoidable errors in designing, analyzing, and reporting studies in a wide range of knowledge areas and topics of management.

• TE) Class discussions about successful and unsuccessful strategies, to undercover underlying reasons usually unwritten and invisible to the students.


Evaluation method

The grading scale used is typically ranging from 0 to 20 (10 points is considered the threshold pass grade). A qualitative Pass/Fail grading can also be used.

b. Emotions in Behavioral Decision Making,

c. Consumer-brand Relationships,

d. Value Creation and Innovation Management,

e. Global Leadership,

f. Motivation and Well Being at Work, 

B. Integration of a wide range of research inputs to do exemplary research and write a scientific article for a top journal

which incorporates proper:

a. Topic, 

b. Research design,

c. Hypotheses,

d. Methods and results,

e. Discussion of the implications.
