Heritage and History
Objectives
To be able to identify the operational concepts of heritage work.
Know and identify the central contemporary debates, actors and bibliography on heritage issues.
Know the primary international documents and guidelines on heritage.
Acquire knowledge and ability to relate heritage issues to Portuguese and European history.
Develop the ability to analyse texts, written and oral presentation skills, and integrate appropriate vocabulary and terminology.
Be able to relate and compare international guidelines with heritage theory and practice in Portugal.

Teaching method
Theoretical-practical sessions, with reading of texts, presentation of case studies, study visits, discussion of concepts and active participation of students in bibliographical research and understanding of national and international heritage concepts and theories.
