The aim is to provide knowledge on the aspects related to the diagnosis of anomalies and building conservation / rehabilitation techniques (heritage buildings and ordinary), but so that students can easily use them throughout their future working life.

It is strictly necessary to have acquired the knowledge taught in the aforementioned courses previously. Nothing that has already been taught in these other courses will be covered in Building Rehabilitation. Instead, the knowledge will be applied to acquire more advanced skills. If you have not acquired this knowledge through attendance and study of these courses, you will not be able to progress.

Evaluation method

Attendance: Class attendance will be monitored (max. absences: 1/3 of the number of classes)

Continuous assessment: 2 in-person written tests + group work

By exam: In-person written exam (entire syllabus) + group work

The progress of group work is assessed during class. Failure to do so will affect the grade or acceptance of the work.

To pass, students must achieve an average grade of at least 9.0/20 in the tests or final exam. Tests and exams account for 65% of the final grade, while group work accounts for the remaining 35%.

Students who do not meet the minimum average grade on the tests or exam, but still achieve an overall average of at least 9.5, will pass with a grade of 10 (regardless of the average).

A final grade higher than 16 must be confirmed by oral examination. In this case, the student''s grade will be based on the oral examination grade. If students choose not to take the oral exam, they will be awarded a grade of 16.

Test dates to be determined at the meeting with the Pedagogical Committee.

The submission deadlines for presentations and group work will be decided in conjunction with the students.
